Birthday special!!:CARAMEL CUSTARD aka "Flan"

This caramel delight is sure to make your special day a sweet one!!!



Cook time: 50 mins approximately
Prep time: 15 mins approximately

Ingredients:

-1 cup milk

-1 tbsp of water

-5 tbsp white sugar

-1 or 2 tbsp of hot water

-2 beaten eggs


Directions:

1.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2. Mix 1 tablespoon water into 1/4 cup sugar on the stove, until the sugar is fully caramelized.

3.Reduce the heat and let it simmer until the sugar and water caramelize forming a sweet syrup,

4. Remove from heat and let cool.Stir 1 tablespoon hot water into the syrup.

5.Whisk milk and sugar together in a saucepan over low heat.

6.Remove from heat and whisk eggs into milk mixture.

7. Pour syrup into baking dish and pour egg/milk mixture on syrup.

8. Placee pan into large baking dish and pour water till about 1/2 inch to sides of the inner pan.

9. Bake in the preheated oven for around 45 minutes.

10.Let cool for around 10 minutes, chill in refrigerator before serving.

11. Serve and enjoy!!!
