CHRISTMAS EVE SPECIAL: Scrum-diddly-umptious Apple Pie!

This sweet treat combining buttery, delicious pie crust with cinnamon-sprinkled, sweet apples is sure to bring smiles to your family and fill your bellies with joy this Christmas Eve!!!


Ingredient List

- 6 cups of apples
-1/2 cup granulated sugar
-1tbsp lemon juice
-1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
-1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
-2 1/2 cup all purpose flour
-1/4 cup chill water
-1 stick of unsalted butter
-1/2 tsp salt

Baking Instructions:

1. Mix together flour, sugar and salt into a large bowl and combine together with a food processor till well mixed.
2. Add butter and mix together, the mixture should be dry.
3. Add chilled water as needed and continue to mix the dough together until the mixture is smooth.
4. Make dough into a cylindrical shape, and put in refrigerator to chill overnight or for at least 4 hours.
5. While dough is chilling peel apples, and slice them thinly into a large bowl.
6. Add sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, all purpose flour, and salt to the apples, and mix thoroughly.
7. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (232 degrees C).
8.Once dough is chilled remove from refrigerator, and roll it with a rolling pin into the desirable size.
9. Place the dough in your baking pan and make sure it covers the baking pan and pull dough up to the sides of the pan, to make a circular pie shape.
10. Add apple mixture to the dough.
11. Once oven reaches 450 degreed F, Place your pie into oven and bake for 40-45 minutes or until crust and apples look golden brown.
